Storrington Res. 3-6 Brighton Electricity (November 17, 2007)
Electricity once again scored six goals in the Vernon Wentworth Cup, this time disposing of Storrington Reserves to book a place in the quarter-finals. Habeeb Alli-Owe, whos clearly a fan of the competition, was once again amongst the goals, scoring a hat-trick to make his record 7 goals in 2 matches in this seasons cup run. John Peter and Luke Bonwick also got on the scoresheet, while Mo White got his first of the season with a penalty. The home side did reply with three goals, but Electricity were always in control and result was never really in doubt.
    In the league, Montpelier Villa moved up to second with a 1-0 victory at O&G, who replace Villa in third place. Bottom side Real Brunswick got their second point of the season with a 1-1 draw at home to Master Tiles, but the result of the day was at Happy Valley where the improving Ovingdean beat out of sorts Hanover 2-1 to put a major dent in their attempts to retain the championship.
